Re: Coyle's Army
He's a great to me as I genuinely believe we wouldn't have had the subsequent Premier League seasons without his achievement. We'd have never signed the likes of Trippier, Ings, Shackel etc. without that first promotion and we'd have had a similar existence to PNE or, hilariously, Blackburn. Speaki...

I remember going to Chesterfield in the forerunner to the Sherpa Van in 1986 I think with Stevie2112 amongst others. We won 2-1 in front of a crowd of just 1053. Could this be the smallest attendance ever for a Burnley game (pandemic gates excluded)

A lad who used to work with us played in the same side as Norris, I think it may have been at Hatfield Town. He was astounded that we signed Norris as he wasn't a good keeper at non-league level.

If we had played the season with Muric in goal, Cullen in midfield in place of Brownhill and had a striking option like Fofana and or Foster, we wouldn't be in the mess we find ourselves in. And the blame for that can only land at the door of VK.

Only four players were deemed truly world-class by Sir Alex Ferguson during his tenure as Manchester United manager. Eric Cantona, Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Paul Scholes were singled out by the managerial great. He was world class, no debate on that. Surely you would have to add Peter Schm...

We changed the wrong areas. Needed 2 full backs, a centre back, a central midfielder and centre forward as priority positions to strengthen. Strong spine of the team.
