Re: Simple vote for Kompany to stay or go…no debate

If Kompany can attract better players why is this team worse than anything Dyche ever fielded? Because he's a worse English manager than Dyche at the moment? He's still learning? Dyche did well with a poor Watford budget, got sacked when the money boys took over. He came to Burnley, first season fr...

Re: Simple vote for Kompany to stay or go…no debate

I don't believe this to be as valid as most believe. The press would never ask the question “Was Sean Dyche an influence on you signing for Burnley?” Because more than likely he wasn't. Dyche was a warrior of the English game, mainly in the EFL. They came for Premier League football. I have no doub...

Not sure about Wharton, at the time it felt a clear 2nd yellow at least.

Seen it back on highlights, he looked to completely pull out of it. He started to go in full blooded, but then looked wise enough to pull out.

Stay. Getting rid of him now would do nothing to change our plight this season. He's building a longterm project here (I expected mid-table or playoffs at the best last season) But if he struggles next season, if we're not in the top 4 mix come next winter.. then I think he will be gone due to the p...

He looked lazy/disinterested today. He was probably happy he got taken off. People said he might need a rest, but why would Kompany keep playing him? He's come from a state of the art City set-up. He wouldn't play him if he wasn't fit enough. I think it's a mentality thing, now things have gotten to...

He can't play Muric, Trafford got a clause in his contract that he starts every PL game when he's avaliable.

The football recently is definitely as bad as the Laws era. Awful today, the Burnley fans had to make our own enjoyment.. "we've had a shot" for the goal that ended up being disallowed. Then "we're going to win 4-3" when 12 minutes was added on. A few behind us (and it seemed elsewhere) were booing ...

A few fans? Certainly a large majority of posters on here assumed we wouldn't need to worry this season and we'd get a top half finish!! How many on here? I'd be surprised if you could quote a hundred.. I saw the odd ones on Burnley express, but they seemed like giddy fans overthinking at the time.

Realistically we were always going to be in a relegation fight. A few fans thought we might be like a shadow Man City and pushing into the top 10.. that was never going to happen. I'd have taken a 17th place finish before the season started, and I still would do now.
