For whatever reason Hendrick decided to seek pastures new, on the face of it the move to Milan seems strange, but it's a bold move on his part, when the easy route would have been joining Celtic or Newcastle. I assume it's because you get a bigger buzz winning a division than fighting to avoid relegation most seasons. Another difference is many people will never have heard of half of the Championship clubs, whereas we are probably known in every country around the world due to Premier league TV exposure.

Well he won't resign, unless a club have approached him and offered him the job. So it'll either be a sacking, which I doubt he'll mind as he'll get a payout, or it's until a rival club such as Newcastle/Palace have the vacancy. I hope SD looks at the direction Nigel Pearson's career has taken. He did really well getting Leicester promoted, then the miracle run to keep them up.

Once he got sacked (a bit unfairly) he's never really recovered. Perhaps SD will take note that some clubs are just a perfect fit.
