As someone born and bred in Accrington, the milk advert has to go down as one greatest of all time in terms of cost of advert versus recall. Even now, 29 years or so later, I still get 'that line' repeated back to me when I meet new people and say where I am from.

I agree fully with Dark Cloud and the general sentiments above, however I understand that the key benefit from HS2 isn't the 'saving on time', it is the 'increased capacity' that the new lines would allow. I'm not sure of the ins and outs of that, but it was a counter argument used when I advocated ...

Looking to spend £250-£350 on a TV. Size wise around 42"

Will be used for TV only, no gaming.

In broad terms you are right to make the comparison lnchy.

Thomas Cook Germany now gone insolvent, but as they are profit making they will re-emerge under new owners with the same brands (Neckermann etc...)

The airline Condor will probably receive state aid to continue flying.

A little 'aside', the collapse of TC also signals the end of the 'Airtours' brand, one which I was very proud to serve for 3 years in the late 90s.
