Re: Real v City
Brilliant game..... and watching the referee's performance shows how poor the standard is in the premier league... he's been on top of everything - not fallen for the play acting, or the gamesmanship - just in control, and spot on. The referee contributed to it being a fantastic game. By the second...

Re: Loan player situations upon relegation (or survival!)
Glad to hear that JBL and Esteve look to be signing.
Not overly fussed if we lose the rest, though you'd like to think all three of them would be decent enough to perform well in the Championship. Big money though. We can probably find cheaper hence signing Sambo instead of Assignon.

Loan player situations upon relegation (or survival!)

Luton will go down in a much better financial position than we are .....! They will only lose players if those players want to leave. They are in the same kind of position as we were when we went down with Dyche in 2014/15. Sheffield United have all kinds of issues. The chaos at Everton/Forest if t...

Out of the possible team's that could go down with us who are the other two along with ourselves you'd want Sheff Utd and Luton. I don't mind tackles that you used to get away with being red cards. Football is a short career.
But we need more done to stop blatant cheating and diving such as players going down when someone puts a hand on their shoulder. Ruining the game.

Dyche knows how dreadful is our defending of set pieces and will play on that. That's my worry. Otherwise I think we can outplay them. My thoughts on this game exactly. They're a big team. We could easily play very well but concede from a couple of set pieces. Still looking forward to probably our ...

I am not familiar at all with the ins and outs of how a coaching team works, but I don't see why we need a set piece coach when we have one of the Premier League's best ever centre backs as our manager. I don't know who they are but I can't see how their knowledge/skill could be better than VK's.

How many points have we dropped because of inaccurate refereeing/VAR decisions ? I have lost count. The more shocking bit is how many points have we gained benefiting from inaccurate refereeing decisions. It should balance out. But my honest guess is 0 points. Seems like there's two separate points here. This season has been terrible to watch. 2 home wins, can't keep a clean sheet, heads going down etc etc. In terms of entertainment value and competitiveness quite possibly the worst season I've seen as a Burnley fan. I share ClaretTony's concerns about using supermarket car parks. Maybe nip in and buy something cheap, a sandwich, chewing gum, drink for the journey back, anything. They can't give you a fine if you're a paying customer and leaving the car park within the allocated time frame.

Muric had a great game yesterday. His saves kept us in front. Trafford may have done similar. Muric's distribution is outstanding. It's the pace and timing of his distribution as much as anything.
