Re: Podcasts?

I have a long commute and listen to loads of podcasts: Set Piece Menu - this is a really interesting football podcast about issues and concepts rather than recent action. Work through the back catalogue. Football Ramble - good for a roundup of the action but the recent interviews have been outstandi...

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS (MUST CONTAIN LINK)

Bamboozled? He's a seasoned pro at a decent age for his position. I don't see him displacing Taylor who has improved enormously over the last season. He's with us to be eperienced cover. A finite budget with a glaring gap that needs filling - CM. This is a decent transfer if the other issues with th...

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS (MUST CONTAIN LINK)

Don't think there is anything wrong with the two additions on face value. They look like solid Dyche type additions. These are lads that are a good fit for us. We need a CM desperately to ease the workload we expect ours to do. After that picking up a couple of cheaper youngsters or bringing a coupl...

Re: All time classic LP's

Vitalogy is really strong aside from a couple of songs hence didn't make the list. Will have a bit more of a think.

Re: Dyches last good signing

Dyche has signed good players more often than not. All managers get a certain percentage wrong. You can't point to the Howe signings and talk about inherited players anymore. We have avoided relegation in part because of Dyche's ability to pick a player that will fit the ethos and the system. If any...

There was a Porto player called Argel *****. Remember it from ECL highlights.

Re: Football Manager 2019

We played 97/98 at uni. Proper amazing game. Organising deals with the lads to try and move your team on. Missed lectures because of it. I haven't bought one for a few years because it just takes so long and I'm terrible at tactics. I keep waiting for it to come on sale before I commit.

Re: Peter Crouch

This would be a regressive transfer. I like Vokes. I think it is important we keep a core of a successful dressing room. The transition to newer players needs to be managed carefully or we end up like Stoke. Arfield and Marney left pre-season and with Ward absent for much of it, that is enough core ...

Re: ARTICLE: Hendrick contract extended

Thought he had his best performance of the season today. I sit in the JHU, what are the lyrics to the Hendrick song. Sounded good but couldn't figure out quite what the words were.

Re: Dyche expects tough window

Anyone else in absolute disbelief about how this season has panned out? I genuinely can't comprehend how we have gone from looking like becoming an established PL team so micky mouse little old Burnley (despite being in the top 40 richest teams in the world or whatever). Has to go down as one of th...

Re: Who should be dropped for Sunday's game?

Would drop Hart for Pope if he is approaching a decent level of fitness. Mee would get dropped for Gibson. I wouldn't put Mee on the bench. A message needs to go out. Would also chuck McNeil in. Depends on the formation. If it is three in the middle again, then Cork gets benched. He looks shattered....

Re: Dyche expects tough window

Given current circumstances, those comments are unsatisfactory and he needs putting right. The team needs an injection of energy sharpish. I would back Dyche with enough money to get at least four in. The players should be the ones that are leaving for their subpar performances. We aren't Sunderland...

Re: Jimmy Dunne

I watched about sixty minutes. Lennon would be wise to tone it down on the sideline. Dunne looked tidy. Very good in the air. Decent pace. The distribution was probably his weakest aspect. He went long a bit too frequently. Lively game to play in, will be a positive experience for him. Good to see M...

Re: Mighty Clarets versus Brizzle Titties FA Cup

Flanagan having a mare. Wrong foot tackles, poor passing and turning like a container ship. Every contribution bar two has been negative. I read positive comments about his performance against Sunderland and it was just as awful. Bristol's winger seems to have cottoned on.

Re: Mackem fans

I went to Sunderland for an away during the first promotion to the EPL and the locals were proper friendly. I have held a positive opinion since. The Sunderland team badly let down the supporters last night. The problems run a bit deeper. Another case of bad ownership through a combination of incomp...
