Shite. Quick to book Cullen but weren't for sorting any of the Brighton niggles out. The one on Esteve was a shocker. Think he's missed a pen as well. Struggled to keep up with play. Allowed to kick ball and throw tantrums constantly. Every 50/50 call went Brighton way.

Would normally rate, watched on TV. He was OK, I thought the red was wrong but can understand. I thought Tarky could have walked for two yellows but also understand. Probably let us off with a potential penalty. Significantly better than anything we have had recently.

I don't think any ref is thinking they won't send a Bournemouth player off because they have a favourable media narrative; it's purely because they are weak and wildly substandard in their ability. I don't believe they think. It is subconscious. Watch any Luton game and the snide tricks they get up...

Nobody disputes some decisions are 50/50, 70/30, 30/70 etc. That's the nature of reffing. However, when hundreds of these decisions are analysed over the season and we end up only getting 10% of the subjective ones, that is the problem. Today there were at least half a dozen things went against us ...

******* terrible. Time wasting was allowed. Inconsistent with kicking ball away. Semenyo should have had a second yellow. Couple of bad tackles that could have been a straight red. This is more general: https://football-observatory.com/IMG/sites/mr/mr68/en/ Spanish teams for the period covered ran more than English teams. It looks like the data for running is an end of season metric.
High turnover is about work rate in the opposition half. We look passive a lot and I'd point at this statistic partially to mean what I think of when talking about Amdouni, Tresor and Odobert.

Just watched that clip and the AVAR goes quiet. He disagrees I think. The balance isn't right. Too many want to just attack and not work hard. Primary school football from us today. Really disappointed with the team. Quite a few did not do the basics.
