Re: Second big screen

The best place to me in terms of %age of viewers would be front of the CFS roof - a la the original White Hart Lane. If only we had a few grand to achieve it.

I remember the strikes when they tried to put unleaded up to a pound.... and then reversed it due to the outcry. Wonder what happened to change it. One of the dearest countries for fuel, American's did similar when it hit $1 a Gallon! Not wanting to be pedantic but it wasn't even a pound when that ...

As a remainer and a democrat I’m quite happy to accept that leave won. What ticks me off after a 51%-49% vote is extremist leavers, who Teresa May has put in charge, telling us that the public demand a hard brexit. I would suggest that the 49% remain and more than 2% leave would rather have a soft ...

Whilst we're on the food subject - places that serve chips in little buckets or cages etc ... JUST PUT THEM ON MY PLATE NEXT TO THE REST OF MY FOOD - AND GIVE ME MORE THAN 5 OF THEM!! Usually also served not on a plate but some off-cut of floorboard or broken roof slate. When/why did that nonsense ...

My first first team game was against Northampton, the very first game at 4th division level. 3-0 up at half time and everyone seemed to be looking forward to a stroll out of the league. 3-2 at full time had tempered the mood a little in our household at least.

They were compared to Bros!
Another Clarets Legend - Tony Philliskirk - the two of them seemed to score for fun for Bolton iirc.

Mine arrived today packaged just like posts 17&18. Not impressed as it was easy to steal. Mind you I suppose it would take a pretty cheesed off rovers fan postman to throw it away! Not got mine yet, but living in Lower Darwen there is just more than a little hint of concern about stories of the pac...

Brought up and went to school in Oswaldtwistle in the mid 80's. One of only 3 known Clarets at school at the time! Actually saw Bastards 3 times before I ever went to the Turf. David Lee, Winger at Bolton. Already picked this one only to find it mid thread. When playing for Wigan too, seemed like he was on steroids every time. Not seen a game upstairs in the Longside then? I have, many a time, and the Bob Lord is a better view. Steeper rake, nearer the pitch,, wider seats, and you don't have to contend with the sun on the occasion it appears or the floodlights in the dark. Plus, it would create a better atmos than the lo...

Hi All, was a long time lurker on CM after being active for a while a few years previous - agree with the sentiment that this is a much better platform all round. Heres to hopefully a very Clarety future on and off the board :)
