Re: Fully Electric Cars
Although to be fair, I can't get an EV because I need to drive it like my ICE car. Which means I often drive 600 miles in a day, without a tea, coffee or toilet break. What's more I make sure that I ignore the petrol gauge and wait for the fuel tank to be completely empty and as I'm running on the l...

Re: Fully Electric Cars
not sure what you mean? I do lots of driving across the motorway network and I often see either all the charge points in use; or people annoyed because they don't work - it was an observation I made based on my exposure to the charging network If I said I didn't want to drive from Burnley to Bourne...

Re: Cryptocurrency
Blockchain, NFTs, digital contracts, stable coins the list is literally endless. NFTs and stable coins are not - and I quote your words - "real day uses". Ignoring NFTs which were always one of the most hilarious transparent scams of recent years, NFTs aren't used for anything day to day. A stable ...

Re: Fully Electric Cars
That's kind of the point, I'd like to think I can get there and back in the same day. 287 miles from the Turf to Bournemouth, with Google Maps saying it is 4 hours and 54 minutes. Add in two charging stops of half an hour each, you get there and back in 10 hours, 18 minutes. Which, to be fair, is a...

Do you really, really want to stand back and think about this statement? Because it doesn't look like you did before you wrote it.

Re: Fully Electric Cars
But an electric car doesn’t make sense for individual urbanites. Few of them drive enough. European car mileage has been falling since 2000. In Britain, 57 per cent of cars are driven less than 100 miles a week, calculates the consultancy Field Dynamics. Even in the US, about half of car journeys i...

Judging by other threads, I *think* I'm allowed to do the occasional publicity post. If not, let me know and I'll stop.

Well, wondered why the analytics were showing a spike in traffic, so I'll briefly log in for the first time in six and a half years to say thanks for your kind words, all. And also to point out that the newspaper I was referring to in the piece was The S*n and not the LET. I haven't read the latter ...

First thoughts on clicking on here - "Oh, thank God, they are using phpBB". The old forum was pretty horrific, even with an ad-blocker. I'd pretty much given up. I'd echo the request for different forums for Off Topic, match tickets/travel etc, but having run a couple of phpBB boards in the past, it...
