early 60's our average was around 25000 reducing to circa 16000 10 years on we were always approx. 10000 lower than other 1st division clubs and it impacted seriously on revenue! The Blackpool game was the Saturday after we'd played in Italy against Napoli. I got a lift to that one (Blackpool that is) from Les Latcham who couldn't play because of the head injury he'd sustained against Napoli. I can't believe there's no footage of that game when they knew it was a title decider. The same goes for the Preston game in 1973, when Burnley needed a point for the second division title and Preston needed one to avoid relegation. I was there but only remember Waldrons stunning equaliser and Ciol...
