Last year I started to get real pains in my knee and got them x-rayed to be told it was the inevitable arthritis. Forgetting VAR,points deductions for other teams and a number of wrong refereeing decisions, theres no reason why we could not have beaten WHU at least once, Luton at home, Palace at home, Wolves at home,Brighton at home,Forest away, and taken a point at Wolves,Everton. Been a great player probably peaking at Southampton. Be interesting to see how SD sets up Everton on Saturday. Forest are no mugs and can attack quickly, with genuine pace with several players. Does he set up not to lose or set up like he did v Chelsea which gave him one of his biggest defeats in his career. Then they play Liverpool, who might tear th...

Said this before, but Everton, despite their position, have the 4th best defensive record. Not a coincidence that their manager SD makes them not mess about at the back, but just hit it long to the likes of Calvert Lewin. I think in 7 seasons of the PL, SD played Tarks in midfield several times, and Jeff Hendrick right wing for a run of games, or as a No 10 if short of strikers. Other than that everyone played in their most suitable positions. Maybe thats why we could compete for 7 years in this division

One of the many problems with our team is lack of character. When we concede, especially when it's from a mistake, heads very visibly drop. Muric had errors last season. This season, his general keeping is much better and his distribution has made a vital difference. The defence is building a confidence it never had in Trafford. Muric distribution is as good if not better than just about all of the rest of the league, bar the top two k...

Forget dropping Muric, or keeping Trafford on the bench. Both of these guys have mistakes in them when you are competing in the PL. We have Muric who made one of the goal keeping gashes of the season last week, and this week he makes an even bigger clanger.Prior to these two games we had Trafford pl...

Another meaningless stat (we have only lost one in 5/6 games) when they have mainly been against teams in the bottom half of the PL Table and none against teams in the top 6. On the basis we have lost only one in 5/ 6 games ?? I would give him a last chance. We dont look as exposed with him from corners and free kicks, and his distribution is far better. Having said that we must have the two worst keepers in the PL if you take the first and second choice of all 20 clubs

Esteve is a good example that you need a number of games to establish yourself and develop and settle into the team. So many of this year's squad just did not get the chance, and this is probably a bi-product of the squad being just too big

Unlike some on here I think Esteve has started well, and will only improve. A year in the Championship will be his making.
