Not sure about the “ no end product” assessment as he won the penalty and instigated the move for the second goal, I would be interested to see his pass completion rate as he seemed to have quite a lot of the ball but kept and passed it quite well on the whole.

I don’t think cowards is too strong a word. Just watching MOTD, Brownhill turns his back on the first goal and Taylor on the fourth. It happens with different players nearly every week. They are a bunch of gutless mard arses who would rather concede a goal than get hurt by the ball.

Shearer’s right, but it’s hardly news. I actually think our bigger problem is at the other end. We don’t score enough, so too much focus is on our defence. Yesterday was a prime example. Amdouni has probably contributed to as many conceded goals as Trafford. Amdouni flinches for the cross in for number three and turns his body away from the ball.
