Re: spurs V fulham
Pre the Leicester i game i thought about this. If we had beaten Leicester and Spurs beat Fulham that would have had us 8 clear with 11 left. Add a conservative 2 wins to that out of those 11 for us and we are 14 clear of them. Would they get 5 wins in their remaining 11 games? Doubt it very much. As...

This. I just hope we can somehow scramble a few more wins to keep our heads above water, and then reassess in the summer, but we don't half make life hard for ourselves, and SD isn't immune from criticism for the lack of incomings either, although ultimately the buck stops with Garlick and in Janua...

I have to agree with remarks made about Westwood and Brownhill. Westwood is having a poor season and Brownhill is not good enough at this level, apart from putting in blocks he offers little. Brownhill was utilised as an attacking type of midfielder at Bristol City. Dyche doesn't want that from him...

Of course it's imperative. The TV money has to be integral to all the plans that ALK have in the pipeline (whatever they are) and 95% of those plans will never happen if we're dumped in the championship. We've a little over 2 weeks to get 2 or 3 decent signings to improve the starting XI or we've h...

He's not the best defender, that's a given. Look at our poor form as a collective team problem rather than single out individuals. Something is not right at present, highlighted by our goal drought. Ignoring the fact that Brady wasn't playing at left back, since when is it the left-back's job to get goal side of the only player attacking a cross who is stood between the posts? I would consider between the posts to be fairly central, thus the job of the central defender. He was on the cover for...

I don't think it is neccessarily the 442. The problem is Dyche likes his midfielders to sit deep. Neither are given the licence to get beyond the forwards. That is the wide mens duty but if they are also filling in as full backs it places a big work load on the wider players. That is fine when we ha...

Because he is the wrong side of Antonio and basically stops and watches him score. Pieters had tracked Bowden, Mee and Tarks had the middle, Brady should have dropped into the Pietrrs position. I think you're looking at things from the wrong angle. It's the midfield that needs to improve. The midfield never seems to work well no matter who we put in there. I maintain it is the way Dyche sets us up that causes this. Our central midfielders rarely go past the strikers or even support. That ...
