Natural skins are the key to a good sausage. We used to get them in salt wrapped in newspaper from the abbatoir. Soaked in cold water they then slide easily onto the sausage machine. My dad was in the Grenadiers and on guard at Windsor Castle. I had an Uncle in the RAF in India and an uncle in the BEF who was Then in Greece but had been through Dunkirk, Sicily, Italy. My mum was working at Lucas making electrical gear for fighting vehicles.

The strict lockdown implemented in China seems to have worked according to the WHO’s data. The number of tests carried out in some other South Asian countries also seems to have detected cases early and that’s has helped. Not fly on it but lived under its flight path for four years.

Drove from Burnley to Halifax yesterday (Thursday) at 10:00am. Took an hour and 20 mins going. Biggest hold up was Mythomriyd but there are other bits of roadworks along the route.
