February 21st 1970. This indeed was the last 5 goal winning margin in the top flight prior to today. As you say, a Kindon hat trick plus an own goal & 1 from Arthur Bellamy gave us the win in front of just 11185 fans. Prior to this, the next most recent was on April 21st 1964 when we beat Spurs 7-2...

You said we needed to shore it up, he took off attacking players and brought on defensive minded ones like Cullen and it probably cost us the game. The truth is, you were always going to slag VK off if we lost. I most certainly was not, Cullen did nothing, Ramsey replaced JBG as I said IMHO was MOM...

What are you talking about? He took a forward off and brought ina midfielder. We even brought Cullen in. We tried shoring it up which cost us the game ultimately. A decent performance when proper football is played, trouble against a good side mainly comes from messing about at the back....Trafford who has had a decent game pulled put out of that one, inexcusable against one of yhe smallest players ...

Thanks Darthlaw I've been called many things in my life never a revisionist before!
I just feel that losing a ball 30 or 40 yards out is preferable to losing it less than 18 yards out. Before anyone says it it would be better not to lose it at all.

In the case of Muric, it's difficult to know how he would fare at this level but as the players in front of him can't cope it's difficult to see he how his passing and risk taking would be anything other then a disaster. The one whose omission mystifies more than anyone is Jack Cork. Last season up until he lost his place after being suspended he was I think leading the player of the season rankings. He played after that some smashing cameos where he came on and stiffened up the midfield, Ewood being as good an exam...
