I would definitely echo that CT and for some time now whilst reading about the shenanigans at Bury, Bolton and Coventry I've been sure that a similar crisis awaits at Oldham somewhere down the line with their somewhat "erratic" owner at the helm. We'll see!

Whether overall it's been a great summer for ENGLISH cricket may well be open to debate, but it's definitely been a brilliant summer for international cricket and the attendances and atmospheres have been absolutely fantastic.

He's a really top guy and I wish him well. I do find it slightly surprising that BCC have gone for more than a one year, bearing in mind he had a serious injury most of last season, but I genuinely hope he does well for them and helps them finish just above the relegation zone.

All that's fair enough and it does kind of back up what I'd come to think quite some time ago. That the physical injuries were initially the problem, but over time the issues became more about his desire to stay and play in England and I suspect it became more about that quite a while back.
