Re: Lyle Foster illness

This is very sad. He could be out for a very long time - who knows? but the key thing is his mental health and not football. Here's to Lyle's recovery and best wishes to him and his family.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.

If you can believe BBC Sport's Gossip page (and why should we, they have mentioned Harry Kane on a daily basis for about 6 weeks now re Bayern) Southampton have turned Liverpool's bid down over Romeo Lavia, they've asked too much for Ward-Prowse for WHU's liking and there is v little intelligence on...

Pulisic moving to Italy, rumours of Saint Maximin heading to Saudi, just need Son to move out of the Prem and some of our previous 'bêtes noires' are out of the way :D . Any other players that you would rather weren't playing against us this season?

Belgian press today reporting we will be playing against Genk.

Not sure whether it’s home or away as the article is behind a paywall.
Thanks! Games against one or two Belgian teams certainly seem probable.

Friendlies

I haven't seen anything so far regarding pre-season friendlies and there is 'nowt' on the club site yet. Hopefully news soon as these games may be rare opportunities for some fans to see the boys for a while (given the ST sales and new membership schemes). Any rumours up there in Lancashire?

It's tough supporting the Clarets and living/working away. I had a ST for a couple of seasons back around 2008.I managed 10 games the first season and 5 the second. Work blah blah blah and just not worth it. Now it is hard to get a ticket for myself and my grandson to come up as we are doing so well...

I am positive that our fans will be fine. There will always be a few though. At the Boro' game before Christmas there was a bunch behind me who clearly haven't been for years. I think I have posted this on here before but it's a little bit of trivia. When we say "Pendle Hill", we are actually saying "hill hill hill". It stems originally from the Cumbric word pen for hill. In the 13th century the Old English word hyll meaning hill was added an it was known as Penhyll. In ...
