Re: Lyle Foster illness
This is very sad. He could be out for a very long time - who knows? but the key thing is his mental health and not football. Here's to Lyle's recovery and best wishes to him and his family.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
If you can believe BBC Sport's Gossip page (and why should we, they have mentioned Harry Kane on a daily basis for about 6 weeks now re Bayern) Southampton have turned Liverpool's bid down over Romeo Lavia, they've asked too much for Ward-Prowse for WHU's liking and there is v little intelligence on...

Pulisic moving to Italy, rumours of Saint Maximin heading to Saudi, just need Son to move out of the Prem and some of our previous 'bêtes noires' are out of the way . Any other players that you would rather weren't playing against us this season?

Friendlies
I haven't seen anything so far regarding pre-season friendlies and there is 'nowt' on the club site yet. Hopefully news soon as these games may be rare opportunities for some fans to see the boys for a while (given the ST sales and new membership schemes). Any rumours up there in Lancashire?

7 for 16 against Skipton CI (for Barlick 3rds) in 1980; 50-odd not out for HMS Brave (late 80s) and a goal in Gisburn Road Junior School's Cup Final 2-1 win against Lord St Primary in the heady 72/73 season. Surprised I never made it onto BBC Sports bloke of the Year

Re: Foreign-based ST Holders (Sorry Ms Thunberg, woo)
It's tough supporting the Clarets and living/working away. I had a ST for a couple of seasons back around 2008.I managed 10 games the first season and 5 the second. Work blah blah blah and just not worth it. Now it is hard to get a ticket for myself and my grandson to come up as we are doing so well...

I am positive that our fans will be fine. There will always be a few though. At the Boro' game before Christmas there was a bunch behind me who clearly haven't been for years. They were behaving and shouting like t'olden days and giving the defence stick for passing it between them and not 'getting ...

Re: For our Posters
I think I have posted this on here before but it's a little bit of trivia. When we say "Pendle Hill", we are actually saying "hill hill hill". It stems originally from the Cumbric word pen for hill. In the 13th century the Old English word hyll meaning hill was added an it was known as Penhyll. In ...

Not that such arbitrary polls mean much but I imagine it's by far the most unpopular of transfer windows polled. Absolutely abysmal but I don't think anyone is remotely surprised. Why do I do it? I check this site, I check the BBC Sport transfers and gossip sites, I look at Twitter every 5 minutes ... I've supported Burnley since the 70s ... I know how it works, I know how the club do (or don't) do transfer business, YET still I look, yet still I have this faint glimmer of ho...

67 pages and apart from the Stephens rumour ... FFS! Small squad, lots of injuries and just started the season. So depressing. Because of those things, I for one will be happy to get a cut-price Stephens to bolster the squad. All hands on deck!
