I have mixed views on the new 20mph limit and question how and why it has been introduced. I do so from an informed position as resident in Wales. I don't " ... like to speed and rush about a bit" - I do care very much about saving lives. Keep your crass comments to yourself

Re: 20 MPH in Wales
Living in Wales I experience the 20mph limit every day. Traffic is down to a crawl in busy, now 20mph areas. Around schools I see the sense but there are many busy arterial roads, previously 30mph and not in built up areas or near schools, where traffic is building up extensively. I'm no expert but ...

There is something deeply unedifying about the 'elites' of @premierleague - in that world Mr. Dyche brought success to Burnley on field, transformed it off-field & gave hope, inspiration & joy to fans & the people of a town that doesn't fit the 'elite' mould. Arsenal have no gratitude - we kept the grass long to cushion them when they fell over ... a lot ... dramatically.
Also, some of their players wore gloves - quite reprehensible

The issues many people have with the EU would not have gone away. Unfortunately I think too much of the Remain effort was focused on negativity, rather than challenging the more outlandish claims made about the EU (and about how rosy things will be out of it). Farage said that a defeat for leave wo...

To some extent, the UU's relationship with the EU was already a result of internal compromise within the UK. The way the EU has developed since 1975 has been one of an inextricable rise towards greater Europe federalism. This continues to this day and the problem for the UK is that we have never been comfortable with that and never wanted it. Brexit has, in some degree lanced this boil. There will never be...
