Re: T'Rovers v Leeds ... 4th July

If Blackburn were playing Beelzebub's guest XI, with Adolf Hitler in goal, Pol Pot in midfield, Chairman Mao on the left wing and Joseph Stalin up front I'd still want them to lose.

Re: Hottest match at Turf Moor

The opening game in 2003 was the end of a very long hot summer.
It was 33 degrees C when I got back to my car which was parked, thankfully, in the shade.
I think Luke Chadwick made his debut that day, and I was stuck to the plastic seat in the James Hargreaves Upper.

Bob was right about so many things in Football
Despite his many faults he was a real visionary
I've recently re-read his book 'My Fight for Football' and he was advocating a Premier League back in 1963/4.

I dread to think what live 3pm kick offs would have done to us in the wilderness years.

The Burnley to Nelson section is down to one lane with no sign of any work being carried out.
So is it to address the surface water flooding, which started after the concrete wall replaced the barriers in the central reservation?

Brilliant header of the ball, wherever he sits in the pantheon of Clarets strikers.

I'd also put Sam Vokes up there with the nut.

Sam Vokes was also excellent when we were defending corners and free kicks in the box, like having a third centre-half.

Tripper's early crosses wreaked havoc in the opponent's defence.
Torn between watching the ball coming in early from behind and over their shoulders, and marking the attacker, the defenders were often turned inside out.
