Re: Well done lads

4-2 does not do the Burnley display justice. How can anyone be critical with yet another injury, an own goal, hitting the post, makeshift centre backs. A team that never gave in, but succumbed to a club that pays huge sums for players. Burnley were brilliant said Ian Wright and they were, despite th...

The people that count by Sean D

Mail online again and SD refers to creating a way of working that suits the people that count...staff and players.
No mention of Mr Garlick or directors.
A pointed remark or nothing to see.

Be an exciting season though wouldn't it? Blood pressure and sanity went through the roof in that last Stan season. That last minute win at Bradford and then Branchy the saviour with those two priceless wins at the end.

Going off on a bit of a tangent I suppose but if the squad remains as it is and the lid is kept tight on the jar on the mantelpiece, and Dyche keeps us up, he can say what Stan T said in his final season...that not being relegated with what he had at his disposal was his greatest achievement.

Read it twice and it left me 'meh' standard newspaper stuff. But: interesting that Flood has re-surfaced. On a board of doves, caution and parsimony he is the one with a bit of flair, ambition and drive. I suspect what is going on now is driving him nuts but he doesn't hold all the cards. That is Ga...

Pure nostalgia... the world as we would love it to be.. when all was well (even though it wasn't but we imagine it was).
No BLM, no EU, no Boris, no Trump, Putin or Covid.
The world through rose tinted glasses and escapism... just had a week int Dales on a farm... the real world forgotten for a week.

Sura the bitterness Adamson developed towards Lord is pretty much covered in the Adamson book. Once Lord retired from the butcher business he devoted all his time to the club and began to interfere more and more. Then the sale of Dobson was the last straw for Adamson.
