I went to some great kid’s Christmas parties at the Masonic Lodge at Nelson Square off Manchester Road.
These days I take groups of disadvantaged kids to the London Taxi Driver’s Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, funded by the Taxi Driver’s Charity for Children, which is brilliant but exhausting!

What would shock is the actual use of the English language in London. Very rare these days. Also in Manchester where I read that there are 200 languages spoken. Now that is diversity in the extreme. Try a few facts for a change, Stayingup. From the Ofsted website on last year’s state primary school...

It is heartbreaking. The gap between rich and poor is constantly increasing. MAGA Republicans already believe that the next election has been stolen. There may not be full scale civil war but there will be trouble from informal militias across the country. The US was once such a great country.

It’s irrelevant whether it was done in good faith or otherwise. If there’s a possibility that the woman was going to feel offended, uncomfortable or violated, he should not have done it. The risk is obvious and in his arrogance, the man didn’t care.

Great writer. He captures childhood and, if not middle America then certainly Maine, very well. In fact, I prefer the writing in the early parts of his novels before things actually go pear shaped. Having said that, all the storylines are pretty good.
