Thats right. Probably the best reader of the game there's been as well. Bold statement, mindgandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 8:05 pmWas it not Maldini who said that if he had to make a tackle it was because he already had made a mistake or something like that.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Maybe I’m getting old but when has it been important for a centre half to be quick? The likes of Tony Adam’s, John Terry, Laurent Blanc, Bonucci etc haven’t done too bad for themselves. How many quick centre halves play for the top sides at the moment? So many more as well. Absolutely right. As a c...

Spence is one of the best in the sport at applying constant pressure. Crawford has the ability to work on either foot and his jab is phenomenal.

Re: New Kit
Firstly, I think it’s dreadful but I’m older and do prefer a more traditional shirt. I just can’t grasp how anyone could like that mess. Someone mentioned a different sponsor for the away kit. That’s something I heard a while ago although I’d no idea who either of the sponsors are. Definitely a dif...

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
I personally don’t think that’s the role for McNeil - for me in VKs system / way of playing he seems a bit of an odd man out. With a false 9 you’d want players in the mold of a Cornet cutting in at pace and getting shots off - not sure McNeil is the man for that. See him as a good traditional wide ...

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread - NO FINANCIAL DISCUSSION
O'Hare I get, he's more in the Grealish role, attacking player. Wiles and Knight are box to box CMs, O'Hare could take one of the wide spots or play behind a lone striker. Looks to me like we've brought in replacements for Brownhill and Collins already, be pretty well stocked if neither leave. I th...

He did, but he also had 15 years experience of playing in English football. I can’t think of many managers that have been successful coming from weak leagues to British football with no experience of British football. Only one recently is probs the wolves manager I'll give you an all time great - A...

Re: Don’t panic
I thought we played well. Worse through the middle tonight and Cornet bit quite there but when he starts he makes the defence step back for his pace, allowing the midfielders more time on the ball. Perfect for a Cork type player to pick a pass. A few hiccups at the back, Pope made some outstanding s...

On boxing ability khan has always been better. Brooks career has been underwhelming to say the least. Would have been a fantastic fight 7 years ago. The season after dyche left watford, they played 3-5-2. They ended up in the pplay-offs with that mad game vs Leicester I think. Not sure of the formation they played under dyche but id take a guess at 4-4-2.
