Re: Leeds fans
Never forget the game at the Turf in 68 or 69 when we beat them 5-1. Ralph Coates took the ball to the corner flag and sat on it. The sharpened coins rained down on our heads in the Longside; don’t talk to me about great away fans.

On vacation from uni at Oxford. Travelled from Bury with old school mate who has been an ST holder ever since. Couldn’t believe what we saw: so much on top, playing good football, until McDonald’s two breakaways broke our hearts. Still had the last laugh over my Geordie housemate in the Final.

Agree about spoons. Son works at a busy one in SW London. They buy cask ales close to expiry dates at cheap prices and shift them quickly. Quality not an issue.

Gutted to be missing this (local fixture), but attending 10 year memorial in Heswall for Liverpool-fanatic school friend of wife, who choked to death on a piece of steak at lunch before opening match of season in 2007. Some things are more important (pace Bill Shankley). Hoping for a 1-1 draw.
