I wouldn’t say it’s tosh.

Put another way, it’s only those deficiencies that mean the very top clubs are not in for him because his goal scoring record at this level is excellent.

I do think he’s improving as well.

I don’t think anyone’s suggesting throwing Wells in but we seem to want a squad with four strikers, currently we have three. We don’t appear to be able/want to sign another so perhaps one we already own could fill the gap. I realise we don’t tend to just throw strikers on but who knows with injuries.

We are (as we’d expect 9 times out of 10) in a relegation battle. If we are striker down on what we planned I can’t see the benefit of having a striker out at another club.
