Upper deck of the bus from Ambleside to Keswick. Takes you past Rydal Water and Grasmere. Cup of tea in Keswick and then back to Ambleside. Ticket about 12 quid each return and you are guaranteed beautiful views. Sorted.

A pleasant stroll around Grasmere itself is very pleasant. No real steep gradients around the lake, lovely views and only about 2.5 miles in total.

Drove past Raith's ground about 6 weeks ago. I played Aberdour golf course (Burntisland) and was en-route up to Crail so went through Kirkcaldy. If East Fife is rougher than Raith then it must be bloody wild :o

There were three collectors outside the JH near the Cricket Field End but they weren't exactly putting themselves about if you know what I mean. We chipped in a couple of quid but they could have been a touch more proactive in their actions IMHO.

As a teenager in the Merchant Navy I was fortunate enough to visit NZ on several occasions. During one visit I was offered a job working in the port of Wellington. Money and prospects were excellent. I turned it down. I wouldn't mind having that day again :?
