We don't have the same quality down the right, Lowton nor JBG or anyone else who can fill those positions is in the same league as Taylor and McNeil

Taylor is a better player than Pieters. Taylor and McNeil link up play last season was one of the factors our form picked up in the new year. Pieters grew on me. 1st half he looked lost due to his lack of link up play with McNeil. Heaton only had 10 months left on his contract and then would have walked away on a free. Selling him was the correct decision and a fee of 8 million was a decent wedge, for a player who could have easily have run his contract down.

We certainly wouldn't be strenghing our midfield by shipping out Hendrick in a deal to sign Philips. We need to sign Philips, keep Hendrick, and get shut of Vydra.

I can't see Leeds wanting to sell Philips and I don't think Philips would want to come here.

How anyone can put Lowton before Bardsley is beyond me. Lowton proved a liability last season.

The dropping of Lowton and the introduction of Bardsley was one of the turning points of the season
