I'd like to think a little bit of discretion could be applied in these instances. But then I remembered there is very little, if any at all of it, left in the game of football. I was surprised at how much time was played after the goal was scored.

Never witnessed any value in a friendly. At best they might be interesting to fans of a player they support making a debut. Second halves just become a circus with so many substitutions being made it can become farcical.

Not lack of knowledge but more lack of research I would suggest. Laughing out loud or making a crass joke can keep one employed it seems. However, I can't pass opinion on the content because if I do happen to see a televised game( which is extremely rare) then invariably the commentary is turned off...

We're not going to agree on this but you mention his 'attacking threat'. Rarely does he go past his opponent and his crossing is poor. But, I take your point that he doesn't hide and had a decent enough game yesterday.

What do you mean when you say 'I think there is a player in there'? It doesn't make any sense whichever way it is considered. As for the three players mentioned let all three go back to their clubs though I believe we are stuck with Esteve so that's a pity.

Absolute diamond of a footballer. Mesmerising at times . Born in Collyhurst, North Manchester only a short distance from where I lived in Lower Crumpsall in the 1960's. Both areas were dumps but his talent with a ball at his feet served to get him away. RIP the mercurial Stan Bowles.
