Watched the game right through & thoroughly enjoyed it .Never in it first half with our keeper poor for the second goal but boy what a second half as we came roaring back.Don’t watch too much women’s footie but love the big tournaments.Terrific skill from all of them!

Heard a useful definition of offside recently that said if ANY part of the attacker was in line with the defender then it is onside.This means that instead of being offside by a nose you could be onside by a big toe… I like this as it favours the attackers & the game is about goals,is it not?

Born in Oldham & moved to Bacup when I got married in 1966.Was persuaded to go to the Eintracht Frankfurt 2nd leg in April 1967 by a salesman at NCR Burnley & here I am.Lots of ups & lots of downs but hey,that’s life!

Strange reading this about Jack Holden as I used to love his ever so fluent summarising after the matches…a real treat whereas Norman Shakeshaft was almost boring by comparison.I never spotted Jack’s bias but never expected any from BBC broadcasting…how naive am I?

I spotted the same on the throw in for their first goal ie the thrower had a foot up but foul throws rarely given these days.Difficult for referees to book players who go down to break up play as the “injury” may be real! Perhaps playing 30 mins each way with time added on by a separate adjudicator ...

It’s a really difficult job reffing & they get two out of three decisions correct but if you believe the statistics put out by the refs body it’s well over 90% correct! I know what I believe but as long as the technology is overseen by the refs themselves nothing will change or if it does it’s at a ...
