There are probably guidelines that prevent it, but surely the VAR officials saw the " free kick that wasn't " last night ! If VAR was brought in to prevent injustices and " clear and obvious errors ", then why couldn't it have been used last night ?

Back in the early 90,s there was a butty shop in Rosegrove that did amazing bacon sausage and egg butties, proper butties where everything was cooked in a deep fat fryer and the bacon was crispy yet chewy at the same time. On average over the last 10 seasons you need around 44-46 points to stay up, or 1 point per game. They already have 39 points with 11 games left. So their run-in would have to be catastrophic, like win only 1 of their last 11. Same points per game principle applies to us too, meaning we need to win...
