Maybe it would be easier to just have rolling subs like rugby. So you can be subbed for whatever reason and then go back on later. Might make the pace of the game faster.

To be fair, if he hadn't said anything we would be none the wiser and it wouldn't be a topic for discussion on here. Never understood why people need to announce to the world that they're gay or have HIV. It's no longer a stigma to be gay, it's more of a stigma being a white straight male these days.

Makes it even more baffling that we didn't sign a decent midfielder in the window. We must have known that Defour wasn't going to feature this season. I know we got Drinkwater on loan but that is a bit of a gamble and certainly not a replacement for Defour.

I must be missing something here. If he is fit enough to sign for Antwerp, how come he couldn’t even get on our bench? Even twenty minutes from him as an impact sub would have helped last Saturday. Quite complimentary about Burnley but the best thing was the discussion about VAR so far. Certainly can't blame SD. The players selected should have comfortably seen off a 3rd tier team. I think he'll have learned a lot more about the character of some of them chosen tonight. VAR us only as good as the people officiating on it, it just takes 10 times as long to make the wrong decision.

Pity about Huddersfield, similar club to us in many ways. I quite like them and hope they sign a decent manager quickly who can turn them around and prevent them falling even further.

Just shows that foreign managers aren't always the answer. I think SD or a Pullis type manager could do a job there.
