Re: Derby v Leeds

The thought occurred to me earlier in the season that Bielsa was perhaps immune to the self-doubt that appears to engulf Leeds when they get into a position of promise.
But he looked at a loss at Brentford and last night looked almost close to tears.

I think there’s a few conveniently playing down Jay’s strengths for whatever reason. Jay can lead the line in a 4-5-1 with more finesse than either Barnes or Wood. He is generally a more versatile player and better footballer than both. I think he’d be a really good option but also believe it was al...

Grealish is a gifted player but his decision making wasn’t great tonight. You’d have expected Jay Rod, Gayle and Brunt to all be penalty takers. None of them on the pitch. But you never know.

The cameo on his debut was 8/10 - he definitely turned the game from a defeat to a draw. Since then, its not really worked and our tendency to just lump up those floaty balls is predictable and easy to read for the vast majority of centre halves at this level. It sounds like Southampton are in the h...

As I understand it, this report is merely confirming the amount of games Bardsley played hit the target in his contract for an extension. I've heard it suggested from a very credible source that our management team have not given up on Steven Defour, and saw him as the pivotal player during the best spell we had in the first half of last season. Question remains, can he get fit. Proper Burnley pre-seasons for the likes of him, Vydra, ...

That is incredible. McNeil has a knack of getting a yard and getting a ball in, which in turn makes a Wood look a much better player because he is a bit Payton like at sniffing out chances. Wasn't Jay Rod playing for Stirling Albion at this age?
