Re: 12 years ago
A few things I remember, I went with Accy Clarets to the away leg and some of the older fellas suggested to me and my mate it was best to stay near the ground, remember us literally stood outside the turnstile for about 30mins loitering! Remember at half time 1-0 up thinking we had a chance and then...

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
Why on earth would any Burnley fan 'will a disaster' on the club they support? Why would they 'revel in crapness' that harms their club? We've seen these kind of lazy claims made on many of the now banned threads on this board over the years, and it's quite sad. If somebody has legitimate concerns ...

Hang on a minute. This is whatever they said on Sky......43 million v 412 million expenditure. We’ve gone 70 minutes and just conceded to a good but deflected goal, to a team about to go top in the PL.Let’s not lose perspective eh? For perspective, the game at half time was fairly balanced. We seemed to go through a period, a few years back, where we brought in a lot of youth players released from top sides, McNeil, Benson, Renny Smith ect. Not all of them have come off but even if only one or two make it it's been worth it. It's been a good strategy and has already paid off with Dwigh...

I'd take Lingard on loan, if Dyche felt he could fit with the dressing room, any signs of him thinking he's the big I am, then no chance! In terms of technical ability and in an attacking sense he'd be better than anyone we have except maybe McNeil and giving him someone else to play with who is on ...

That result has left me feeling very abject. We will struggle to play better this season but have only come away with one point.
We also appear to be on the wrong end of some of the fine margins and the rub of the green is just not going with us.
Worrying times. Not feeling the positivity.

Opposition teams have learned to double up and push Dwight onto his right foot. This is why he now ends up going backwards a lot. This should in theory open up other pockets of space on the field. Unfortunately we always look at the safe sideways pass particularly in the centre of the park and the s...

There's plenty of comments about how he brought in good players but didn't get the most out of them. All of Lowton, Gudmundsson, Bardsley, Brady and Long have started games this year. Having all these players leave at the same time means we'll have to sign 6-7 players in the next window. Few points from this one. Firstly, I haven’t said we’re relegated. So I don’t see what there is to be shown up about.
