Re: Peter 'UWE' Noble

As a player I like many others adored his tough but fair attitude to playing for his beloved Burnley FC. The one skill that I will always remember is his heading ability and how he seemed to hang in the air longer than the defenders and then the power he injected into the ball as he timed his jump t...

RIP Jimmy. I too am unfortunate never to have seen you play for the club that I love but I know very well how much the town and its fans adore you. Elegance and grace are the two words everyone uses to reveal your footballing genius. Gentleman is the word most often used to describe you as a man. Th...

Yes SWC it was a cracker hitting the right stanchion so hard the ball bounced out again so quickly looking at first that it had possibly hit the post. I haven't looked at the fixture list but Burnley looked tired compared to Leicester who deserved the win

lol I didn't know the score! Alex Elder scored for us and it was the best goal of the game beating Gordon Banks in goal. I thought the young lad Murray played well on his debut and I always enjoy watching my all time favourite claret, Brian Miller, win lose or draw. Hope it hasn't ruined your day!
