Sacha says Brighton have had conversations with VK's 'entourage' - which I presume means his agent.
Again, doesn't mean he's leaving. But sounds completely possible to me that they have explored a potential scenario with VK's people.

Would be the kind of profile of manager that you would imagine Brighton are looking at. You would also imagine that Brighton, being a relatively well-run club, would be looking at the various options and seeing who might be available if De Zerbi leaves. So this story sounds completely feasible to me...

You can take it a step further and apply that to the football club itself. Did they buy BFC at a cheap price? I don't think so. On the back of 5 consecutive years in the PL with no debts and a huge cash surplus the club was probably at its peak in terms of valuation. But then again they didn't buy ...

Everton de-brief is out now. Hopefully without any of last week's glitches.
Also keep an eye out for a rare Wednesday episode dropping this week - an interview with football finance analyst Kieran Maguire who takes a broad overview of what the club's accounts mean.

If you look at the case of clubs where things have gone badly wrong in the past, it would suggest there are a number of red flags to watch out for: 1. Large loans/debt 2. Excessive transfer activity combined with poor results and running at a significant loss in transfer dealings. 3. Lack of transpa...

Edwards is a good manager, good man too. Whilst you would have to congratulate them on taking the risk on Barkley they are VERY lucky they got the version of him they did. Its not about luck. Its about managing players. People thought Dyche was 'lucky' with Joey Barton. But he was able to manage th...

If it's Grand Old Team they want everyone dropped and everyone sacked. Given half a chance they'd start handing out P45s to themselves. It's not exactly IQ central. Many moons ago, one well-known Everton fan actually did famously go "scuttling around in taxis" handing out redundancy notice to his o...

You’d imagine JJ Watt has invested in ALK along with Malcolm Jenkins and Dude Perfect which is why they say they are part of the ‘ownership group’
I don't imagine that Dude Perfect has invested in anything to be honest!
I've presumed that was a kind of influencer contract.

Burnley have done pretty well at retaining attendance levels after being relegated. Partly as a result of being successful in the Championship of course.
But this is a pretty good way to break that trend.

American owners......
There are no reduced prices for pensioners at all in American sports. As a result, you don't see many over-65's at games in the USA.
The only time I have seen anything close to a reduced rate is for armed forces veterans.
So ALK would find this a strange practice.

Q: What sort of things did you have to think about when you made that (Muric) decision? "Not much, what's best for the team, that's all. Yeah - point more is that there is a difference between loans for development (such as those we see with Dundee etc) and loans because we can't sell them and want part of their salary off the pay roll. No, there is a clear difference between 'happy clappers' - who I respect for their loyalty and optimism - and the handful of people who spend their time rushing to the defence of even the slightest, mildest criticism of Alan Pace.

Ask yourself this - if you were in legal trouble and you went to see a lawyer - serious business - would you be more likely to hire someone wearing a suit and tie or someone in a baseball cap and tee-shirt?
If you are owner or manager of Burnley FC it should be serious business too.
