Re: Lowerhouse featured in the Guardian today

Interesting story of the India pro playing the day after the World Cup final and getting a ton in the game against Burnley. Amazing to think he played. Some poetic licence though, he didn’t get a ton. And of course Burnley won the game. He tells a good tale about it on our podcast , IIRC Stan ran h...

Re: Lowerhouse New Pro

As a Houser I think it will be difficult to improve on last season. The team is getting older and there appears little prospect of any of the 2nd team making the step up. Hopefully Henri Cottom can build on last season as he has the ability. The main source of runs could be Ben and Frankie with othe...

Regarding the stream... Yesterday we had an Internet issue, we already satellite it from the club house down to the scorebox as a cable can't be run long enough. Needless to say, we're all volunteers, trying to increase the exposure of local cricket, but what does that matter. The live stream at Low...

I'm just under 2 miles away and it's fine now with the only rain forecast early this afternoon, and not much expected. But when you posted almost an hour ago, it was seriously hammering it down.

Ok there may have been a glitch in the play cricket but it’s not hard to simply ring Nigel Stockley and say “Darwen 207 -8, Burnley 141 all out, Darwen win”.
Bring back Radio Lancs scores, Nigels phone calls and pen and paper I say.

The masses started appearing from 2004 onwards.
