This is really sad news. At the recent Watford away fixture Rocky wandered into the busy pub on his own. He recognised us (Mr and Mrs Tonbridge Claret and myself) but hadn't met Mrs Sarum before. We invited him to join us, and there he sat chatting away, but it was a quieter and more reflective Rock...

Going back awhile and again more recently, J, several players in SD's squad were apparently not his signings, but the board's. I suppose we should anticipate this happening at times during VK's tenure, too. And if so, I hope that - whatever the other reasons for it - this has been agreed in advance ...

We don't always have a song for individual players. In James Tarkovsky's case my choice would've been "TARKY FOR ENGLAND!"
Whether or not he'll ever be back in the England squad remains to be seen, but it would make for a fitting and fond farewell chant for him to hear on Sunday.

Quote from BBC Sport live update:
"Daniel Ballard blocks Andriy Yarmolenko's strike, who really should have had a hat-trick before Peacock-Farrell again comes to the rescue to claw the ball away from the lunging Besedin on the rebound.
He's been very strong between the sticks. "
Well played, Bails.
