Re: West Ham v Burnley - Match Thread

The negativity on here is the most depressing thing of all. Yes we’re still lacking a spark of creativity, but we haven’t been that bad. And Free kick apart, Brady IS having a good game.

I’ll accept that but I’d be delighted if someone could explain how it took six minutes. And imagine if we’d been there, we wouldn’t have had a clue what was happening, the info message remained throughout at checking the denial of a goal scoring opportunity. I know you don’t like VAR Tony, but I find it strange that you criticise it for the Shaw/Brady incident whilst saying Friend had a good game. Without VAR, the outcome would have been a free kick for Utd in a dangerous position and a yellow card for Brady - another mistake by the ref as it should cer...

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover

Hmm, we do all know that ALK owns Burnley Football Club and that it's ALK who have taken out a loan and ALK who are using the club's cash? It would be shocking if anyone else was to borrow money based on security of Burnley football club's assets and to "empty BFC's bank account" but, this isn't wh...

Re: Burnley v Manchester United - Match Thread

Wood, and to a lesser extent Barnes, are becoming a big problem for Dyche. There was absolutely no outlet second half with those two on the field and we desperately need more pace and invention in that area. Is it terminal for Wood? No, I don't think so, but he's a player desperately out of form. I...

Seems like he was making it up as he went along to me. I can't recall ever seeing the VAR overturn a free kick for one team by awarding a free kick to the other team for a separate incident at the other end of the pitch. I don't think it was anything to do with the restructuring, there was no real change in shareholders rights from one company to the next. Except for the small matter that we could no longer attend company meetings and vote! I agree though that it wouldn't have made any difference to this takeover.

So to summarise if things go well ALK can make a hell of a lot of money from the club without putting much in themselves or taking any real risks?
But if things go wrong it won't affect them too much as its the club thats been saddled with debt?
