Defour on Mee

This is taken from an article on the Athletic. I can’t help wondering if it actually tells us more about Stephen Defour than it does about Ben Mee... If ever a story summed up Ben Mee, it is the one told by former Burnley team-mate Steven Defour. It was December 2017 and they were playing Leicester ...

Not a lager drinker, but it’s a shame about Staropramen because it definitely used to be imported - certainly the bottled version - and I quite liked it. That's true England did reach the last 4 at the WC, but most football connoisseurs know that going that deep was flattering to Southgate and the squad, let's see how far England progress at the next Euro's when there'll be no easy games to navigate, and despite reaching the semis it was still a big...

Well done and well deserved Nick Pope. Surprised at Tarkowski omission. Excellent for us. Will only make him want to move to a bigger club even more. That’s what really pisses me off about it. Southgate hasn’t got the guts to go with players from “lesser” clubs even though form demands it. Tarkowsk...

Im pretty sceptical about the takeover talk. If I was an investor looking to buy an English football club, I think I’d look at a small-town club who’d finished top-10 in the PL two out or the last three years as top-of-the-market stuff. The level of investment required to “take us to the next level”...
