Re: Vitinho
I'm a big fan but he's an enigma of a player. I said last season he had terrific movement and might be better a tier above. He finds space that his teammates don't always even notice to pass to. He can just pop up somewhere or find a way through/behind incredibly well. He's not as good a dribbler a...

He's consistently inconsistent. Very hard worker absolutely, but also makes the work hard for himself unnecessarily as well.

Re: Burnley vs Brentford - MATCH THREAD
Stats suggest we are sitting back, why against 10 men. Brentford are always going to give it a go, why encourage them. We are so poor at managing games. We run to exactly halfway into their half and stop. Gives time for Brentford to pull 5 back and get positioned. Absolutely have to be forcing Bren...

Stationary in that last 3rd when we should be wearing them down. Need to be whipping the balls in quicker and we need to force and error.

Re: Burnley vs Brentford - MATCH THREAD
No doubt now that o’Shea is our worst defender. Can’t believe some think he’s our best… He has definitely been one of the most improved players of the season. He's absolutely not PL standard (like a lot of them aren't) but he's been one of our more consistent players generally. Wouldnt say he's on ...

Re: Burnley vs Brentford - MATCH THREAD
I’ve said this many times on Vitinho. Some of the stuff he does is technically fantastic. His work ethic and attitude is spot on as well. He always makes himself available, never hides unlike a few others that are guilty of it every game. But then he will go to put a cross in and it’s head in hands...

Re: Burnley vs Brentford - MATCH THREAD
How did Assignon kick that out of play then?!? Total lack of control and brainpower.
We look in more control now with that red card (as we should). But we are so slow to whip in a cross, when we do were always bloody offside

They've battled, dug in and took their opportunities all when it counted. We've not. Several times leading in late into the game (West Ham x 2, Luton, Brighton) and not been able to hang on. When we've gone 1 down at HT and barely mustered a glove second half. So yeah, Luton fully deserve to stay up...

The perfect signing for us in that position would have been Cole Palmer..... Has a lot of learn at this (PL) level which he just hasn't adapted to. But insrill have faith in him. As other have said, stay until 10-12 games next season. My reasons being 1. we are absolutely down so no point in changing him now and the financial hit..it's completely pointless 2. Has chosen this...

Total agree, I can't remember such a weak back 5.. We just look so.... Gormless? Casual? Posted by Fabrizio Romano now, so a bit more solidity than a local rag. https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1749447329965375839?s=20 It was an odd signing to begin with. I'd like to think he'd have nailed that cross to Foster much better that Guddy did. 2 x Haaland on top of each other wouldn't have got to that.
One a free signing, he certainly wouldn't have detracted from the squad. His performances I've seen for Luton this season he's been a massive asset.

I find it weird people don't see the ability amdouni clearly has. It's not quite coming off for him at times, but he has the potential to be a top player, both in terms of linking play and as a goalscorer. He could be a 15-20 goal striker in the premier league imo. I think there in lies the problem...

Re: Burnley v Luton
You should watch it again. It’s a clear as day foul. Adebayo literally blocks him by twisting his body and has no eyes on the ball. Luton couldn’t believe their luck that it was given. If that happens 10 times a weekend, it would be 50/50 every time. To me it's the same today. If Trafford area it s...

Seething after that. Backed into him, clear as ******* day. Foul. Cannot believe it was given a goal, utterly shocked by the decision. I don’t blame the VAR there. Trafford was no where near it. Yep agreed. He was caught out after having such a good game. Why was he expecting to run through such a crowded area to parry that? Second goal to kill this now, being very protective and egging Luton on. Really don't want a repeat of WestHam and Palace.
