Re: Clarets Vs Newcastle
Everything about our defensive play screams naivety — we are sorely lacking premier league experience in that area and it is costing us dearly at the moment

Where was the urgency in the final 5-10 minutes? Felt like we were sleepwalking..
And our short corner tactics are simply not coming off at the moment. A frustrating watch

As a young female Burnley fan I thought I'd just chime in here (I haven't skimmed the whole thread to see if any other women have commented, but I can't imagine there are many) I was at the Watford game a couple of weeks ago and despite the loss I had a great time, since I don't live in Burnley, and...

Re: Watford v Burnley
Yes I would fully agree, I’m just saying that we aren’t substituting Van Nistelrooy here, he’s been very hit and miss. The problem is lack of options, but that isn’t helped by Jay getting injured (which would have meant we had Vydra on the bench to select). Yes true, I agree - and thankfully it loo...

And Barnes has had 3 goals in the last 2 premier league seasons - I get your point but surely you'd still take Wout and his 26 in the Bundesliga over Barnes at this moment in time.jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 4:34 pmRouwen Hennings at the age of 33 got 15 goals in the Bundesliga two seasons ago.

Re: Watford v Burnley
Sadly no viable options available from the bench to do that. That may be true, but either way, taking off Weghorst - who is one of the few players who actually looks like he cares/who could potentially pull a goal out of nothing - was not the correct decision. (Obviously, I desperately hope I'm pro...

Re: Watford v Burnley
I don't blame Weghorst for being angry at being taken off. Why can't our coaches ever seem to realise that it's the midfield that needs changing, not the strikers? Barnes is hardly going to do better than Wout when he'll receive exactly the same non-existent feeds... Wout was one of the top scorers ...

Was a great addition during his time and thankful for the memories of his goals but I'm not wishing him luck for the rest of this season - and to those who are, bear in mind that EVERY goal he scores from now will only be a detriment to our survival hopes. As I have said on the match thread, Dyche has made it clear every season that he has wanted more money to work with for transfers. Re: Dyche: January Signings Unlikely
The scary thing is, I think it will actually go the other way as I do think the board have always had plans if we go down. Signing someone now I'd say is even more unlikely. A grim prospect if true - we should never be aiming to bounce straight back up from the Championship as Plan A while we're st...

We'll finish 16th which of course I am still over the moon about, however our run over the last 13 or so matches have left a huge amount to improve on and the fact that we were so close to going 11th in this match but threw it away frustrates me - still happy overall ofc

I personally am strongly against fox hunting, as I am against any type of killing for sport.
