Re: Non League Day

Nicely settled in the Three Pigeons in Halifax only to find out game against Ebbsfleet called off as pitch waterlogged - again . Okay for me being local but felt for the handful of Ebbsfleet fans who'd travelled up from Kent and a Birmingham City who'd chosen this as his non league match . Went off ...

Re: PREVIEW: A first cup visit to Goodison in over half a century

Yes remember being packed in like sardines on the Bee Hole end for the cup tie in January 67. The crowd of 42000 shows what a draw the FA cup was then .Out of interest looked at the attendance for the.home league game with Everton that season - a mere 11,500 !

Re: Notice of intended prosecution(scam?)

By coincidence I got a speeding notice driving back through Todmorden from the Man City game - A 646 Halifax rd. If it's a genuine notice from.WY Police it will have a phone number for the Prosecutions and Casually Prevention unit on the top of the letter. - 01274 020510. Suggest you call this numbe...

Re: Ticket for Cardiff game

Where is the Ticket Exchange Scheme advertised? I hadn't seen it publicised but just checked by chance on my ticketing account . If you use the drop down menu the last link is for the Ticket Exchange which gives details of how it works. Basically if your ticket is resold you get a credit on your ac...

As things stand we have a train strike scheduled for Saturday 18th and usually a knock on effect to next day. So guess will be standing room only on the X43.

Re: QPR

Looking at the list of QPRs backroom staff surprised to see it includes 3 ex Clarets - Damian Matthew as Assistant Coach, Micah Hyde in charge of U18s and loanee Gavin Ward as goalkeeping coach. Interesting to see if Beale takes any of them to Rangers if he gets the job.

Called at my old address and ticket was there.

Although I changed my address the club sent to the old one, not a problem though as I still own the property
Same happened with mine despite updating my personal details with club back in February and the account showing the new address.

Is Haffner's still in family ownership? I was at secondary school ( CGS) with Mick Haffner in the late 60s. He emigrated to Australia many years ago but still follows the Clarets I believe.

The more principled man u fans cut all ties with the club in 2005 when the Glazers took over and channelled their time and energy into setting up the alternative FC United of Manchester . Have a few mates who were part of this group and have been to a few FCUM home matches with them. Great atmospher...

Crystal Palace v Clarets , 51,482 May 1979. Final game of the season with a win getting them promoted to Division one. Played on a friday night if my hazy memory serves me well.
