My daughter was born 14 weeks premature and I was a total mess for the entirety of the time she was in hospital. How he has managed to lead this team, on and off the field, in the way he has utterly astonishes me. An absolute hero.

Best thing about this is even though he’s an absolute megastar, he still has the passion and enthusiasm of somebody just starting out, even for tracks he must have sung hundreds of times. A cut above.

I think he and Vydra can cause defences real problems with their clever off the ball movement. Perhaps not expected by teams expecting the 'long ball' cliché.

The TV show doesn’t work. Crouch is likeable but certainly not a TV personality and Alex Horne’s humour is suitable for certain things but not this. Maya Jama obviously there for the LADS but she’s a charisma vacuum.

I do think Dyche has handled this pretty badly, especially considering the situation for everybody at the minute. I get the frustrations, I’ve voiced them about the board before, but there’s a time/place and a way of doing it, and this wasn’t it. All very unprofessional, which is unlike him.

He sort of inadvertently rocked the boat when Dyche inexplicably put him in the pecking order ahead of Heaton. He seems like a decent guy but it just didn’t work.
