Echo the above - too many dismissive about what we did last season. ‘The league is low quality’ etc etc. A lot of the same people were saying Leicester would walk it while breaking records. Recent results prove that league is an absolute slog.

I think if I was putting two grand down on a non refundable holiday payment five days before I was due to leave, I’d be dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s with stuff like passport rules before I did that. But yeah, the EU are the ones to blame, or something.

They changed the rules re touch line bans before this season - banned after three yellow cards, reduced from four. Dyche had one at Everton a week or two before Kompany’s.

On the other hand, Fofana missed an open goal, then slipped while rounding the keeper after nicking the ball off him, an xG of nearly 3 and 17 shots on goal. Agreed we had some messy moments and we were nervy at the end (perhaps understandable) but we really should have wrapped the game up sooner.

Kompany should already have walked. His success last season was based around a combination of shrewd signings and Dyche players (Taylor, Roberts, Brownhill, Cork, JBG, Jay, Barnes) and this season has been an absolute car crash in every single way.
