Re: Nottingham Forest tweet
This might be a clever ploy by Forest ensuring if there are any 50/50 VAR decisions in their next 4 games, then they may get the benefit as the authorities will not want a repeat and further criticism. Forest will also know we play them in the final game, and that game could well be a decider of wh...

Is this any different to Dyche's reticence to talk about injury lay offs? Was never aware of any issue with the chairman. I was always quite surprised at how well they seemed to get on. There were widespread reports of a serious breakdown in relations as 2020 wore on. This Everton side are better than most of Dyche’s Burnley sides. Particularly in central midfield and upfront with Calvert Lewin. This thread is abusing them but they will stay up easily. You know things are not going well when Dyche goes for triple sub at HT. There was a clip of Pickford after the last Euros where he went back home to see his family etc and he came across as a very grounded, down to earth lad. He’s a moaner on the pitch and a bit of a character but I think the game needs a bit of that.

Doesn’t Howe like to play quite a possession based style? Pope played the way he did here because he was told to. Excellent players are often pretty adaptable, which is what Pope is. I’m not saying his distribution is necessarily as good as Muric, but he certainly has enough about him to play out.

Huge, costly error but he’s still the better of the two keepers. I mean, there’s Vigouroux too but it would be a bit of a curveball to throw him in.

I don’t think it’s a ‘fishy’ deal for what it’s worth. We evidently wanted a keeper and it was clear that first choice was Verbruggen. We did need a top quality goalkeeper. Of the two we had last year, Muric and Peacock-Farrell, it was clear Peackock-Farrell was not god enough and Muric was questionable because of his style of play and inexperience. Vigouroux was clearly brought in as a number three (replacing Will Norris). Of cou...

And the re the goal, I’ve wanted Muric in for a while, but it’s a huge mistake. He’s not the only one, but surely a bit of ‘game management’ has to come in and see it out until half time - sadly lacking again. The number of goals conceded just before half time this year has been criminal.
