Re: Nottingham Forest tweet
Weirdly VAR reflects wider societal attitudes. That every situation has a definitive right or wrong, and that everything is black and white is an unusual modern attitude that has seeped into most areas of life. It's the same reason that we have a more polarised/divisive society in general. People se...

Re: Nottingham Forest tweet
The Premier League is becoming dysfunctional. Points deductions and their subsequent reductions on appeal are becoming as important as on field performance in the relegation battle with only a few games to go. All the while Man City and Chelsea have pending charges, which in City's case seems to be ...

Re: TRAFFORD (AGAIN)
At this point Kompany has to take the blame for picking him, and insisting that he plays such a high risk game, despite not appearing to have the necessary skill set (and he's not alone in that). Surely all of our defensive players can't be that awful, as no matter what the personnel the performance...

Ha, ha, Jay on in injury time at 2-0 down.
Please someone explain what that will achieve. Maybe to help defend set pieces?

Too late. We're not scoring two.
Kompany's inertia, and lack of ability to make decisive changes is a worry. He doesn't seem to be learning or developing.

Re: Clarets vs Bournemouth - Match Thread
We started brightly without really creating too many real opportunities. Give away a poor goal and it's very difficult, as we don't exactly look clinical.
To be fair we should be level.
We've looked better today at times, but that might just be because Bournemouth are poor.

Luton are lots of things that we're not at the minute. Confident, physical, energetic, determined, organised, united. The list could go on. Basically they have an identity. The problem for us is that we're just a (much) worse version of the top sides. Luton (as we used to) present a genuinely differ...

Agree. A shame. But the manager clearly thinks they would have failed so really who are we to doubt him? We can see Beyer, Cullen and Brownhill have struggled, to name just 3 examples. Yes, I think that the only thing that is indisputable is that the gulf between the top two divisions is huge. Last...

We signed a bunch of youngster who look at us like a stepping stone to something great. What we had with Dyche was a team of players who knew it co...

Re: Mission To Burnley Series 2
I'm not really that interested. I found the first series fairly cringe worthy at times. I'm interested in the football at Burnley, not some weird semi-scripted fake reality TV show/soap opera. It's part of trying to market football as a lifestyle product, develop a brand/media profile, and diversify...

Quality wise that game wasn't exactly a great advert for the self professed "greatest league in the world". Despite that, Palace have nearly double the amount of points we have, and if it wasn't for the points deduction Everton would be in twelfth with thirty points. Just look at the goal difference...

Re: Time to hear from Chairman Pace
I've never really bought into the whole media blitz carried out by Pace et al. I found the documentary series oddly unengaging, coming across more as a semi-scripted faux-reality TV show at times. It's a shame, but this season is an absolute train wreck. From the outside Kompany looks bereft of ideas, some of his footballing decisions have been odd to say the least. Worryingly, his man management skills also appear questionable. The (admittedly in some cases enforced) replacement of key membe...

Meanwhile Luton giving Arsenal a decent game.
I've nothing against Kompany's footballing principles, but they need to be alongside, not instead of, a degree of physicality and commitment which we seem to be lacking.

Hi all,
Due to illness I have two tickets available for tomorrow night.
Unfortunately I am in Stoke-onTrent, so the tickets would need to be collected from postcode ST4 7HH.
Not too bothered about the money, just a shame to see them go to waste.
