Re: New Balls Please

Do any of you remember the slightly heavier plastic balls, black and white, with the team names on them (for some reason I remember Huddersfield town being one of them). This would be early 80s.

As has been noted earlier, Norwich is (slightly) further north than Birmingham - West Brom replacing them hardly affects any geographical imbalance. Fans of all 3 potential relegation clubs probably think their teams are entirely “proper”. Apart from that... Thanks for the input. There would be a n...

Auxerre - that’s a blast from the past. Remember seeing Liverpool beat them 3-0 at Anfield, reversing a 2-0 away in the first leg, UEFA cup about 1992.

It’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better isn’t it. I suspect there will be a real difference between people with manageable outgoings and low debts, who will scrape through it, versus people who already had massive outgoings and debts before the crisis hit, who will not.

Hard to imagine that bailing out League 1 & 2 clubs will be a priority, since they are mostly financially precarious anyway, and are not big employers.
