Re: Truro City - fixture congestion and ground (pitch) problems

Genuinely interesting thread. Surely the future is more artificial turf given changing climate. At junior football level in Leeds it’s shocking, mudbaths like the 1970s.

I lived in Chapeltown, Savile Road, for 5 years in the '80's. Find it hard to believe that it's gentrified, along with Meanwood ?
You’d be surprised. It is spreading out from Chapel Allerton. Chapeltown is where I would buy.

The only thing I would add to this debate is to look for areas, if you can, which are changing for the better or have the potential to. Like Chapeltown in Leeds for example. Or Meanwood.

If you know where to look you can just see the floodlights of The Lamex Stevenage! Beyond the retail park on the right just south of the station coming from KX. Great Northern and / or East Coast Mainline :)
I shall be trying that next week thanks

St James’s Park Exeter is an odd one. Has its own station and is right next to the Exeter-Salisbury line but you can’t see it without craning your neck because the line is runs through a cutting.
This is perfect - exactly why it would be such an interesting quest.

Re: PL / FL / Scottish grounds visible by rail

Can't quite visualise it, but you're probably right about Hibernian's Easter Road as you approach Edinburgh Waverley from the east (on the East coast Mainline) to the north. I think, therefore, you can also see the Meadowbank Stadium (used for the 1970 and 1986 Commonwealth Games) and now home to E...

I live in Leeds. They’re in danger of losing a generation of supporters due to not expanding the ground. Relegation will not help. They’re stuck in the 20th century. Within the city, Rhinos seem to be as well-supported as LUFC and do a lot more for the community. LUFC have big regional draw obviously.
