Re: O/T Arthritis - How do you cope?
My wife has Rheumatoid Arthritis and I have a little Osteo Arthritis in my wrist, my wife would rather have mine and I would rather not have hers. Trust me there is a huge difference between the two conditions, RA can attack anywhere in the body not just the bones, the immune system is on hyper sens...

Re: Ashley Westwood - best ever?
Martin Dobson oozed class, skill, power and a great range of passing. He wasn’t a bad sweeper (remember them?) at the end of his career. Also during a difficult time at Burnley, Tommy Cassidy was very classy if a little immobile. In recent times it was a joy to watch Defour, took me back to times wh...

Don’t forget his restructuring of Probation Services to include the private sector has cost us millions as the providers have been sacked for incompetence and given a compensation package!! This idiot was Education Secretary for a while...need I say more?

Re: RATE THE REF - Jon Moss v Manchester City
Mike Duff had plenty to say about Moss at his testimonial meal event and the very next game he played was away to Brighton and he was red carded by...Jon Moss, coincidence or prophetic, you decide? For what it’s worth I believe Moss is appalling but Lee Mason is easily the worst referee I have ever ...

I hope his management skills exceed his punditry skills..he didn’t half come out with some nonsensical comments at times.

Re: Turf Moor Supporter Facilities
When I started this thread I deliberately avoided any talk of major re-build although that would nice and usually the cheaper option than updating and renovating. The wider issue is the esteem (or lack of it) the club holds for it’s core customers. Since Barry Kilby took a step back there seems to h...

Re: Turf Moor Supporter Facilities
There must be a place for a Haffners pie on’t Turf, local business and IMO considerably tastier than a Holland’s Pie? I’m sure Bowland Brewery would be happy to provide the liquid refreshments and food the bar at Holmes Mill is spot on. Finally is there any point of dealing with Fan Liaison, these g...

Re: Turf Moor Supporter Facilities
Been going on since 1973 and whereas walking around ankle deep in urine in the Beehole toilets was deemed to be acceptable then, times move on and facilities should also improve also. I can’t see how finishing 7th should negate the need for a toilet being cleaned? Surely it should be horse **** not ...

Turf Moor Supporter Facilities
After another great season and reflecting on the last game, I have one or two points to make. The club has clearly got matters right on and off the pitch on both the playing and back room support front, except the ticket office which continues to be a fairly unpleasant affair. Surely it’s time for a...

Re: Scudamore wants more money for the bigger clubs
Don’t the big six already get substantially more money from the televised games payments, they are all on ad-nauseum? Surely they should steer towards the American Football model which prefers a more even system with total salary caps, no money transfers, a college draft system and tougher fixtures ...

Re: Finishing a degree at 30 (or older)
Well done, studying in later life is great but quite tough if you're doing it part time and working, I really enjoyed the opportunity to research and take a wider view on things I thought I knew about. Completed my Cert Ed at 45yrs, BA Hons 50 to 53yrs and finally MA 54 to 57yrs, having a second car...

Worth signing Woods to annoy Dirty Leeds alone, priceless! Be great for the Development Squad but absolutely not what we need for the first team surely?

Re: Superbowl
Yes will be watching and hopefully due to retirement through to the end of the game. Have watched since 1986 when the Patriots were the underdogs. In a sport that positively punishes the successful teams and assists the weaker teams to get stronger it is amazing that the Patriots have managed to mai...
