Re: Square pegs in round holes

I'm afraid VK has some blind spots in his thinking. We have one right back who for some reason is playing left back. We have one left back, who for some reason can't even get in the squad. All this talk about Taylor not fitting the system is nonsense. We are unable to impose our 'system' on the oppo...

I had a particularly painful one I guess about 35 years ago. Couldn't change gear in the car or lift my arm. Doctor suggested a steroid injection which he could do himself. Told me to have it on a Friday as it would be extremely painful and wouldn't be able to work. He didn't lie! Had to sleep in th...

There certainly was a fire not long since but don't think gutted. Suspect the longer term intention of the purchaser of the business from John Lewis was always more related to the potential value of the land rather than as a manufacturing base. For me Tony, scrap it. It disrupts the flow of the game. Decisions take so long to make and are just as often wrong as those made by the match officials. It's sucking the life out of the game.

On the few occasions I have seen him play the young full back Cooney, currently on loan at Morecambe, has always impressed me. As previously mentioned the step up to Premier League is huge but he is certainly out of the Trippier mould.

Responding to dpinsussex from the now locked previous thread (Burnley v Coventry Under 23's latest), the goalkeeper Billson had a very good game and made some vitalsaves. The striker Bimou scored the goal and was a threat all afternoon. Looked like he picked up an injury near the end.
