no i don't, virtually all the programmes mentioned had actors who could act well, so to single one out is irrelevant. I know nobody else agrees with me but I absolutely detest "Friends". In fact any US show where there is a burst of canned laughter every 30 seconds has much the same effect.

"on turf" is an irritating construction that long predates Dyche. Adrian Heath picked it up but certainly didn't invent it. "At turf" gets used as well. I'm currently doing some research into the Riley family history - trying to build on my Dad's papers that he left 30 years ago...

Not arguing against your point. But the potential for a Conservative Government with a mandate is a very real possibility.... the EU loses a lot of its bargaining power....
