Re: Good luck Sean Dyche
Let's put this in perspective, the last former Burnley manager to take on a premier league club has taken them from bottom three to top three and he didn't even get us into the playoffs! Good luck to him, like Pope and Trips I hope shows the world what he's capable of (whatever that might be!)

Re: Football Ramble Drop In - Ben Mee
A few weeks ago I had a chat with someone who was in the changing room. A bit like Ben Mee was very respectful when the subject of Dyche was raised and said that the team still wanted to believe in him until the end. He said that things had started to change over the final two seasons, where as once...

Re: ARTICLE: Madejski is the venue for the under-23s
Not often a member of this board might be supporting the opposition but Reading have James Holden in goal whose dad is an occasional poster on here. Very true Tony! Got to say it’s strange at first, every time the ball goes towards the goal your natural reaction is to urge Burnley on and then you s...

Re: Is there a minimum age for signing a professional contract?
No problem, Jadon Sancho is an example of a player moving between clubs before signing a pro contract ... 'Sancho joined Watford at the age of seven.[11] Due to issues with commuting across London to the club's academy, he moved into accommodation provided by Watford and began attending their partne...

Re: Is there a minimum age for signing a professional contract?
Yes there is, you can't sign a professional contract before your 17th birthday. If however he is offered a pro contract by Birmingham and rejects it then Birmingham would be due compensation which, if not agreed between the two clubs would then be set by the Professional Football Compensation Commit...

Re: Top 10 Robbie Blake goals
Definitely my favourite edging ahead of Glen and Leighton James. Our dog is named after him, 'Blakey', and then my son played his first senior games under him this season for Bognor. He never mentioned to him he was a Burnley fan or that his dog was named after him! Said he was a top bloke, very sup...

Podcast - Nick Pope
Goalkeepers Union is a great podcast that helps just how technical the GK position is as well as how the physical and psychological aspects impact success in the position. Their latest guest was our very own Nick Pope https://podcasts.google.com/?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly9hdWRpb2Jvb20uY29tL2NoYW5uZWxzLzQ5NzY2...

Re: Bury : No Wages
Cheers. I was wondering why there was no mention of IPs in that statement above but I guess they're just glossing over them as Dale is the major creditor. Looks to be a fairly small company doing the administration. Bit surprised I haven't heard of them as there's some crossover with some specialis...

Re: Academys taking kids as young as 6
I have a son who's now 16 and played grassroots, school, district and finally academy football. I've read the book that led to the program and whilst the concerns he raises are valid as parents we need to take some level of responsibility. All a club offers is the opportunity and there are no guaran...

Noel-Williams fired
Codicote Football Club regret that they have parted company with Gifton Noel-Williams with immediate effect. Gifton came to the Club and impressed everyone with his coaching ability and the influx of talented young players. But results with this new young squad didn't marterialise and in the Club co...

Re: Burnley fan Jo Cunningham (formerly Tomlinson) passes away
Tony, Awful news but thanks for passing it on. I first met you and Jo on those early email groups and remember the first get together in (I think) the Sparrowhawk. Like you we hit it off straight away, she helped me through an OU course and we bumped into each other often at home and away games. She...
